1. Compute the function point FP for a payroll program that reads a file of employees and a file of information for the current month and prints checks for all the employees. The pro-gram is capable of handling an interactive command to print an individually requested check immediately.
2. Assume that the payroll program of the previous exercise is expected to read a file containing information about all the checks that have been printed This file is supposed to be printed and also used by the program the next time it is run, to produce a report that com-pares payroll expenses of the current month with those of the previous month. Compute the function points for the program. Justify the difference between the function points of this program and those of the previous payroll program by considering how the complexity of the program is affected by adding the requirement of interfacing with another application (in this case, itself).
