Skill learning takes place via a predictable and consistent sequence. It is as well similar to that of growth and development by how the rate of learning a skill is dissimilar across people and based on a person's environment and also their previous experiences (Hastie, 2012).
Choose a complex motor skill which you are proficient at (like bowling, riding a bike, driving a car, jumping rope and so on). Describe when you first learned it and your early experiences with this skill. Try to explain how you acquired this skill in terms of the phases. Then explain the progress a learner might take as they start to master this similar skill.
