Structure of Body- centered cubic (bcc) crystal.

a). The body-center atom in a conventional bcc unit cell has co-ordinates
(1/2, 1/2, 1/2). How many nearest neighbors does this atom have? List the coordinates of all these neighbor atom positions;

b). Diffusive jumps will be made from the body center atom position to one of its nearest atom positions. List all lattice translation vectors defined by these nearest neighhbor atom jumps;

c) Are all the lattice translation vectors listed in (b) symmetry? If yes, what is the type of lattice translation (ie, );

d). Calculate the one dimensional atomic packaging fractions or APFs in the [100], [110], and [111] directions in the bcc structure.

e). Calculate the 2-D atomic packaging fractions or APFs in the (100), (110), and (111) planes in the bcc structure.

f). Calculate the 3 dimensional atomic packaging fraction or APF for the bcc structure.
