Transmission lines in the United States are supported by utility poles that are anywhere from 20 to 90 m apart. Assume that the electrical service (32.5 A at 14400 V AC) of a neighborhood of twenty houses is carried on a section of wire that is strung between two poles 50.0 m apart. Calculate the force on that wire if the magnetic field of the Earth is 6.0*10-5 T. You may assume that the magnetic field is perpendicular to the wire.
