For the group of adults, women and children ‘alcohol misuse screening and counseling’, ‘folic acid’ and ‘autism screening’ respectively are the services that have been chosen for this analysis.
Why each one is of interest to you?
The alcohol misuse screening and counseling service is of interest due to the rising cases of alcohol abuse among adults. For the service, folic acid, many women of pregnable ages are not aware of the importance of folic acid to them when they are pregnant. Autism screening service for children is also a very important service due to importance of early detection in management and treatment.

Folic acid has been associated with prevention of defects during birth. It is important to include it in the diet of women between the ages of 11-49 years. Children are delicate and it is important to take them for well-child visits at least seven times from 1-4 years of age. One silent killer of many adults is alcohol abuse, it may not be direct but the act could lead to commission of crime. It is important that adults are covered for these check-ups.
Do you think most people will be take advantage of these preventive services? Why, or why not?
No, since the services have to be approved by an authorized doctor. It is hard to come by doctors who would let people take advantage of these services.
Based on all the information you are able to recover and your review, what are the three (3) overall conclusions you have drawn about the Preventive Services Covered under the Affordable Care Act?
It can be concluded that these preventive services are cost friendly even in cases where the service is not fully covered, these services are also likely to be ignored by the beneficiaries so it is important that they are made aware of the services. Finally there are exceptional cases like the ‘dependent coverage’, which is for children up to the age 26 years.
