While recognizing external strategic factors, managers sometimes miss or overlook the critical new developments. Functional experiences and personal values of corporation’s manager along with the success of present scheme bias both their perception of what they significant to monitor within the external environment and interpretations of what they perceive. This willingness to refuse the unfamiliar as well as negative information is known as the strategic myopia.
