DLR uses binders in order to communicate with not only the .NET Framework but also with several other services, for example: COM and Silverlight. These services also represents language-specific semantics and also specifies how a specific operations could be performed at the call site.

Call sites refer to the area in the code where mathematical and logical operations, such as a + b or a.b are performed over the dynamic objects.
