a) All tests must be traceable to the customer needs.
b) Tests must be planned long before testing starts.
c) The Pareto principle can be exerted to software testing - 80 percent of all errors uncovered throughout testing will probably be traceable to 20 percent of all the program modules.
d) Testing must start ‘in the small’ and progress in the direction of testing ‘in the large’.
