Expatriate Employment: An individual living in a country other than their own country of citizenship, frequently temporarily and for work reasons. The expatriate can as well be an individual who has relinquished citizenship in their domicile country to become a citizen of the other. When your employer sends you from your job in its New York office to work for extended period in its London office, once you are in London, you would be believed as an expatriate or "expat."
