A technique employed to standardize and categorize fault-tolerant disk systems. RAID levels give different mixes of performance, reliability, and cost. Various servers give three of the RAID levels: Level 0 (i.e., striping), Level 1 (i.e., mirroring), and Level 5 (i.e., striping & parity).
