Morphing is a short form of metamorphism that signifies transformation of object shapes from one form to the other. Morphing techniques can be applied to any motion or transition including a change in shape.
Panning signifies shifting of background or foreground to provide the illusion of camera in motion following a moving object, in such a way that the background or foreground seems to be in motion. Both methods are broadly employed in animation application.
