It’s a new world of business today and information technology plays a major role in each scenario. Information systems are transforming business and its capabilities. We definitely need to know what is information technology to understand this question and to get an optimal solution.

So what is an information system?

Here we define! An information system contains information about people, places and things within the organization or in the surroundings. It helps a person to visualize and analyze the difficult subjects and to find the optimal solution.

The life cycle of information systems are as below:

Planning:

The first and foremost step is planning which determines the goals and gives us the way to make a plan to achieve the desired goal. Planning identifies to create the purpose of the goal and to take an action to go ahead of the opportunities.

Analysis:

Once you have done the planning for your desired goal you then need to analyze the resources, materials, needs and the man power to finish that particular goal. Analyzing identifies our needs basically to complete the project.

Designing:

The next step is to design. Design a plan and goal as per the sources. Design the overall process which has been planned to complete the project. The requirements and the function as well as the steps to be designed so that perfectionism is there in the work.

Implementing:

Once you have completed these three steps then the major step is how to implement it? The main step comes now to implement the functions procedures and goals. The real work starts here where each individual do their specific task to complete the goal.

Monitoring (Evaluating):

After the implementation stage we need to monitor and evaluate the whole process whether it needs any changes or not? To become fully fledged sure about the performed task the process completes. Monitoring is the last step like if it needs any improvements or if it requires any further modification.
