Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham designed a cognitive psychological tool in 1969, in United States which is called as Johari Window. It is a type of communication model which takes care of giving and getting feedback from the other person. The quadrants of this model are-

1. Open quadrant: which is known to everybody.eg. person’s name, qualification, address etc.

2. Hidden quadrant: information which is generally unknown to the peers of the participant.eg- feeling, insecurities and experience.

3. Blind Spot: information which is not known by the participant but known to others.eg. the person may not know that he is a good listener or a good speaker.

4. Unknown: represents the motives and behavior of the participant which is unknown to almost everyone.eg. Abilities and potential of the person.
