Write the differences between HTML and XML.

a) XML defines the data whereas HTML explains how data is displayed. Thus, HTML is about presenting information and XML is about the defining information.
b) XML provide support to the user-defined tags whereas, HTML offers pre-defined tags.
c) XML is case-sensitive language whereas, HTML language is not case-sensitive.
d) In XML, all tags should be closed; whereas, in HTML, it is not essential to close each tag.
