Haversian canals are the longitudinal canals which are present in the osseous tissue inside which blood vessels and nerves pass. The osseous tissue spreads itself within a concentric manner around these canals. Volkmann’s canals are the communications between the Harvesian canals. The osseous tissue is greatly vascularised in its interior.
