Glomerular filtrate is the name given to plasma subsequent to it has passed the glomerulus and entered the Bowman’s capsule. Glomerular filtrate has a dissimilar composition as compared to urine as the fluid has not yet undergone secretion and tubular resorption. The basic difference between the blood and glomerular filtrate is that in the later, the quantity of proteins is at a minimum and there are no blood platelets or cells.
