Glomerular filtrate is the name which is given to the plasma after it has passed the glomerulus and has entered the Bowman’s capsule. The glomerular filtrate has different composition as compared to the urine as fluid has not yet undergone the tubular resorption and secretion. The major difference between the blood and glomerular filtrate is that in the latter the amount of proteins is at minimum and there are no cells or blood platelets.
