What do you mean by the term Flow Control and Error Control? Describe in brief.

Flow control refers to the set of procedures employed to restrict the amount of data which the sender can send before waiting for the acknowledgment.
Error control is both error detection and error correction. It permits the receiver to inform the sender of any frames lost or damaged in transmission and co-ordinates the retransmission of such frames by the sender. In data link layer, the word error control refers mainly to techniques of error detection and retransmission.
