Explain the term Voltage regulator. Describe in detail.




Voltage regulator is defined as an integrated circuit which takes the unregulated power source and regulates it to the voltage of the voltage regulator. For example, you may have 12V of the unregulated power and using the 5V voltage regulator in order to reduce that voltage to the 5V.
