Explain the term retracing? Explain the horizontal as well as vertical retracing.

At the end of each scan line, electron beam returns to the left side of screen to start showing the next scan line. The return to left of screen, after refreshing every scan line is known as the horizontal retrace. And at end of each frame, electron beam returns to the top left corner of the screen to start the next frame is known as the vertical retrace.
