Switch: The switch (or switching hub) is a network device that is employed to interconnect computers or devices on a network. This filters and forwards data packets across a network. The major difference between hub and switch is that hub replicates whatever it receives on one port onto each and every other port whereas switch keeps a record of the MAC addresses of the devices joined to it.
