There exist three types of facts:
a) Additive : Additive facts are the facts which may be summed up through all of the dimensions within the fact table.
b) Semi–Additive : are the facts which may be summed up for some of the dimensions within the fact table, but not the others.
c) Non–Additive : are the facts which cannot be summed up for any of the dimensions present within the fact table.
