The four major strategies used for roll out any project are as follows:

i. Pilot: The real production system is installed at a particular or partial number of customers. It mainly means that the product is in fact rolled out to partial number of customers for actual work.

ii. Gradual Implementation: In gradual implementation we send the complete product to the restricted users or all users. At this point, the developers obtain immediate feedback from the receivers which permit them to make alteration earlier than the product is available. But the disadvantage is that developers and testers sustain more than one version at one time.

iii. Phased Implementation: In phased implementation the product is rolled out to each and every user in incrementally. This means every consecutive rollout has several added functionality. Hence as new functionality comes in, new installations take place and the user tests them gradually. The advantage of this type of rollout is that users can begin with the functionality and offer important feedback gradually. The only problem here is that with each and every rollout and added functionality the integration turn out to be more problematical.

iv. Parallel Implementation: In these kinds of rollouts the present application runs side by side with the new application. If there are any problems with the new application we all over again go back to the old application. One of the biggest issue with similar implementation is we require additional resources, hardware, and software.
