DHCP abbreviates for Dynamic host configuration protocol. It is employed to assign the IP addresses to huge number of PCs in a network environment. This makes the IP management much easy.
Scope: It includes IP address such as subnet mask, gateway IP and DNS server IP and exclusion range that a client can use to communicate with other PCs in the network.
