Dentists use the oral radiology in their practices, as do maxillofacial surgeons, head and neck surgeons, and other members of medical profession who functions around the head and neck. In some of the regions, oral radiology is defined as a recognized medical subspecialty and people like dentists and radiologists may apply for the board certification within this area.
