Frequency Division Multiple Access (or FDMA) is a channel access technique employed in multiple access protocols as a channelization protocol. FDMA offers users an individual allowance of one or various frequency bands, channels.

Multiple Access systems coordinate access among many users. The users might also share access through various techniques like SDMA, TDMA, or CDMA. Such protocols are employed differently, at various levels of the theoretical OSI model.

Demerits : Crosstalk that causes interference on other frequency and might disrupt the transmission.
