Cnidarians are said to be diploblastic, that is, they have only ectoderm and endoderm. With exception of the poriferans, all the remaining animals are triploblastic. Poriferans don’t have differentiated tissue organization and so they do not categorize relating to the germ layers (even though they are sometimes mentioned as diploblastic).
