It is a small high-speed memory. It is employed for temporary storage of data & information among the main memory and the CPU (centre processing unit). The cache memory is in RAM only. It is random access memory (RAM) which a computer microprocessor can access more rapidly than it can access regular RAM. Since microprocessor processes data, this first looks in the cache memory and if it discover the data there.
