Reflect on your own instructional practice and discuss whether you consult research before designing and implementing instruction for/in your classes. If so, what research-based best practice strategies have you adopted and did you find success in employing them in your own work/practice? Why or why not? If you do not consult the research to inform instructional design and implementation, what are your reasons and rationale for not doing so? Do you think that might change based on the reading? Why or why not?
