What are the pros and cons of using creative interviewing techniques such as challenges and brainteasers? Be sure to consider legal issues. What qualities would distinguish a creative and useful approach to understanding job candidates from a pointless one? As an interviewee, share your best or worst interview question, one that is particularly memorable. How did you respond to the question? Alternatively, if you have never experienced a particularly memorable question firsthand, then read some of the responses of your classmates, and describe how you would answer one of their questions. Or you may respond to the question used by Microsoft, "If you could remove any of the 50 states, which would it be? Be prepared to give specific reasons why you chose the state you did." With regard to the question you choose, describe what, if anything, the interviewer was trying to learn about the applicant, and whether or not you believe the question serves its desired purpose.
