1. Pick three (3) specific disabilities (there are no limitations on which disabilities to pick).
1. You may pick an IDEA disability category or a specific type of disability (such as Down Syndrome, Fragile X, ADHD etc.)
2. For each disability locate the following information using your textbook, fact sheets (https://www.parentcenterhub.org/repository/specific-disabilities/), or reputable websites. Use the words below in Bold as your headings on each of your papers. You should have three papers covering the three disabilities that you picked. complete them in a word document and submit as one paper into the dropbox.
1. Academic or Cognitive Characteristics (how does it affect thinking/learning?)
2. Behavioral Characteristics (what, if any, behavior problems does it cause?)
3. Physical Characteristics (how does it affect movement or senses?)
4. Function all Social Characteristics (how does it affect socializing or performing daily routines?)
5. Accommodations: What are three (3) ways that you could adapt your teaching or classroom in order to accommodate a student with this disability? (Number these and give a clear description of the accommodation.)
6. Resources: List two (2) resources (books, articles, or organizations/websites) that could provide more information for a teacher who wants to learn more about this disability.

3. For organizations, give the name of the organization, website if available, or other contact information (phone, email, or physical address) if no website is available.
