How we can define severity ratings in our project?
Expert
Severity ratings are of four types which are as follows:
Severity 1 (showstoppers): - This does not allow the application to move further. That is why they are also called showstopper defects.
Severity 2: - With these types of defects application continues to working, but they can have high inference, later, which is difficult to eliminate.
Severity 3: - In this, application continues working but produces unexpected results.
Severity 4: - In this severity suggestions are given by the customer to make the application better. These types of defects are considered during the maintenance stage of the project or at the end of the project and have the least priority.
